NY6740 : Hut or shed beside Maiden Way

taken 12 years ago, 5 km from Leadgate, Cumbria, Great Britain

Hut or shed beside Maiden Way
Hut or shed beside Maiden Way
An estate road now uses the route of the Maiden Way, an old Roman road crossing the Pennines just below Melmerby Fell - it can be seen behind the building. The building itself is more of a storage shed than a hut, presumably used to store the paraphernalia of grouse shooting; there's some outside.
