SK5441 : The Leen Valley Railway at Bobbers Mill looking northCrossing Keeper's Cottage. Bobbers Mill
I am very interested in this building as my Great Grandfather John Whyman, (1858 -?) and my Grandfather Jack Whyman MM (1897-1969) both lived there. John was definitely there in 1909 because he was quoted as a witness at an inquest into the death of one Fred Cuthbert, who was found dead on the line having apparently been hit by a train.
Other members of the Whyman family seem to have lived there too. My Mother also told me she lived for a while in Nut Yard, which was somewhere off Cyril Avenue and seems to now be occupied by a business of some sort.
I also have a photograph of Jack Whyman at the window of a signalbox. It is inscribed 'Gatehouse at Bobbers Mill, but and dated 1927, but the surrounding landscape appears wrong so I'm thinking it may be another box on the leen Valley Line. it seems to be in a flat area with little or no building nearby.
I shall try to upload the photo, or at least a link:

Hope the above link works.
I would be grateful if anyone could identify the signal box and its location.
Many thanks.
