Charlecote Park in flood
Charlecote Park in flood
View north from the public footpath through Charlecote Park towards the house on the right, the River Avon on the left, and the bridge over the River Dene in the middle distance (subject location).
After prolonged heavy rains, both rivers were swollen to the extent that the house and gardens had to close for the day due to flooding in the cellars and around the park. The picnic area by the confluence of the Dene and Avon to the left of the picture can be seen to be substantially under water.
