The start of a walk up one Cambridge's spine roads, mainly populated by restaurants, book shops and estate agents. This picture shows the Oak Bistro, which has also been known as the Advocate in recent years; and Yim Wah Chinese Restaurant. These both have addresses in Lensfield Road, which leads off to the left while Regent Street starts by the 20 sign.
This is Fitzwilliam Street, in Little St Mary's parish. Probably its most famous resident was Charles Darwin, who lodged here while studying at Christ's College (1828-1831). Darwin's mentor, the Professor of Botany John Stevens Henslow, was a curate at Little St Mary's.
