The A14 is a major road running 127 miles from Felixstowe to the Catthorpe Interchange, the junction of the M1 and M6 motorways near Rugby. The road connects East Anglia with the West Midlands and The North.

The Orwell Bridge :: TM1741

The Orwell Bridge was opened to road traffic in 1982 and carries the A14 (then A45) over the River Orwell just south of Ipswich in Suffolk, England.
The main span is 190 metres which, at the time of its construction, was the longest pre-stressed concrete span in use. The total length is 1,287 metres from Wherstead to the site of the former Ipswich Airport. The width is 24 metres with a height of 43 metres.

Stour & Orwell Walk

The Stour & Orwell Walk is a 42 mile long extension west from Felixstowe to the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Path and follows the coast and heaths along the estuaries of the Orwell and the Stour, going around the Shotley peninsula to Cattawade, providing links with the Essex Way (at Manningtree, across the river) and the Stour Valley Path (at Cattawade).
