The hall and changing rooms are in the NW corner of the Recreation Ground, which was
established in 1934 as "a public recreation ground for the inhabitants of Coalway Lane End and District and the public for the purpose of recreation". The ground has nearly four acres of open space for organised and informal sports and leisure activities. It also contains a play area and a car park.
