Five Pits Trail
Five Pits Trail
The photograph is of the Five Pits Trail, looking in a southerly direction toward Tibshelf.

The stile to the left leads to a SK4362 : Public footpath that runs, parallel with the trail, down the edge of the field. The path doesn’t veer away from the trail for some 200 metres and because there is another junction of the two at that point, this section of the footpath is seldom used.

At the end of the hedge on the right of the photograph there is a large SK4362 : Picnic Area.
From the trail, in the vicinity of the picnic area, there is this SK4362 : View over fields.

Ahead (south-easterly) the SK4362 : Five Pits Trail passes to the left of a small copse.
Behind the viewpoint the SK4362 : Five Pits Trail approaches the junction of Station Road and Hardstoft Road, which its crosses on its way north toward Locko Lane.
