Renovation of the former Odeon cinema, Newport

This is the East Usk Road side of the long derelict former Odeon cinema on the corner of Clarence Place. External pipework recently painted green is a small part of a project to convert the building into a cinema museum, the only one in Wales. The project will include full renovation of the architectural features, including the original plasterwork and projection room facilities housing the original 1938 projection equipment. In contrast, there will also be a new projection room containing state-of-the-art digital and 3D projection equipment.
