The northern end of Lake Skerne
The northern end of Lake Skerne
You won't find Lake Skerne on any map but heavy rain at the beginning of the last week of November 2012 saw the dramatic flooding of land on both sides of the East Coast Main Line. The trackbed was damaged which caused problems with the overhead wires leading to widespread disruption of services.
