The massive North Stand at Old Trafford was renamed "The Sir Alex Ferguson Stand" in November 2011.
The life-sized statue of Sir Alex can be seen standing above the main entrance to the stand.
A plaque fixed to the wall of the stand, below the statue, reads:
THIS STAND WAS NAMED THE SIR ALEX FERGUSON STAND
ON 5 NOVEMBER 2011 TO RECOGNISE
HIS ACHIEVEMENTS AS MANAGER OF MANCHESTER UNITED
IN THE 25 YEARS SINCE HIS APPOINTMENT
ON 6 NOVEMBER 1986
THE BRONZE STATUE OF SIR ALEX
BY SCULPTOR PHILIP JACKSON CVO,
WAS UNVEILED IN A CEREMONY
ON 23 NOVEMBER 2012
