The summit of Causey Pike is the farthest knoll of the cockscomb ridge, Scar Crags lies behind the camera location. The snowed mountains in the distance are the those of the northern section of the Helvellyn range from Great Dodd to Whiteside; Helvellyn itself just begins to rise to the right out of the frame.
