This golf club is the fourth oldest golfing organisation in the world, tracing its history back to 1761, when the game was played on the lnks at Bruntsfield. The Society moved to Musselburgh in 1876, and to this site at Cramond in 1898, following the example of NT1875 : Royal Burgess Golfing Society Name Plaque. More details at Link
