Black Cave
Black Cave
The largest cave on Arran with a height of 80ft, a width of 40ft and a depth of 100ft. A roof collapse has created an exit at the back of the cave. Arrow-heads and flints found here indicate the cave was in use from the earliest times. The cave was used as a gathering place for worship in the 19th-century.
