SW7011 : Lizard Lighthouse - engine house

Lizard Lighthouse - engine house
Lizard Lighthouse - engine house
This is a Gardner four cylinder diesel engine driving both a generator and an air compressor. The latter is for the foghorn and there is a clutch that presumably allows the driven device to be selected according to need. The big vertical yellow cylinder in the background is an air receiver for the foghorn. It is very pleasing that this lighthouse can be visited.
