Kielder Forest and 'Skyspace'
Kielder Forest and 'Skyspace'
The 'Skyspace' in Kielder Forest is the work of the American artist James Turrell. The visitor enters a partly buried, circular room and views the sky at daytime or at night through the obvious opening. Kielder Forest is known primarily for its vast number of trees, some of which are in view beyond the forestry road and also for its 'dark skies' with little light pollution.
