The A78 at Inverkip
The A78 at Inverkip, taken 4 years ago
The new illuminated sign on the left is the latest attempt by Transport Scotland to reduce accidents at the A78/Main Street north junction blackspot. Previous attempts (still in place) included relaying the junction layout and repainting the white lines. The sign (allegedly) only illuminates when a vehicle is waiting to pull onto the main road from Inverkip village. A similar sign can be found at the other side of the junction.
