The south side of the church from the churchyard.

Nave and chancel by W.H. Bidlake, 1897-1902, grafted onto a tower of 1860-1 by G.T. Robinson.
St Patrick's Church was begun in 1839 and the west tower added in 1860 by the "rogue" architect G.T. Robinson. In 1899 the body of the church was rebuilt by W.H. Bidlake, who added triangular buttresses outside, yellow brick wall piers inside and the elevated chancel and apse.
