Ruined double-storeyed building on the old reduction level
Ruined double-storeyed building on the old reduction level
This building has all the appearance of a house, including fireplaces. That a house existed at the quarry is a recognised fact, but that house, [known Ty'n- chwarel (house in the quarry) and occupied by the quarry agent] was on the lowest level of the quarry. Present on the 1881 map, it had disappeared by the time of the revision survey of 1914.
