Sign, Titanic Belfast
Sign in front of the "Titanic Belfast" building as viewed from the side (under a fire escape) of the old Harland & Wolff headquarters building J3575 : Former Harland & Wolff headquarters building, Belfast (1).
The sign weighs 15 tonnes, the same weight as Titanic’s main anchor, and is believed to be the largest ever made in Northern Ireland. Made by BSK Engineering, based near Cookstown in Northern Ireland, the sign was Laser cut and made from eight, 30mm thick, solid steel plates. 4.5m tall and 15m long, the sign is the same length as the private promenades available on Titanic’s most expensive accommodation, the First Class Parlour Suites. See a video of the sign being installed at LinkExternal link (UTV).
