Sampsonfield
Sampsonfield
The photograph shows part of the play area for younger children in Sampsonfield SK4262 : Children's Playing Field.

Along by the hedge the infant River Rother runs until it enters a SK4262 : Culvert where the hedge meets the concrete fencing coming in from the right.
Situated on the other side (the southern side) of the hedge is a SK4262 : Smallholding.

John Stephen Sampson, a nineteenth century landowner, gifted the field to the village.
