SP7254 : Rescuers

taken 6 years ago, near to Milton Malsor, Northamptonshire, Great Britain

The charity race has been held almost every Boxing Day since 1917 in or around Blisworth village in Northamptonshire.

The world's oldest still running motorcycle race takes place every year on Boxing Day and features a single one hour long race around a demanding circuit.

The rescuers are placed by a small water filled ditch and their job is to pull motorcyclists and their bikes out of the mud and water. The spectators don't get away scot-free either; if you stand there long enough you will look the same.
