Bretton Hall viewed from bridge over The Cut
The canal to the left, known as The Cut, was made to alleviate flooding in the upper parts of the park when the upper lake suffered from severe silting. This bridge leads across to the dam that creates the lower lake. In the distance we can see Bretton Hall itself.
