Mountain Hare, Far Black Clough
Mountain Hare, Far Black Clough
This area of Bleaklow holds a good population of Mountain Hares (introduced by the Victorians); in their winter coats they are very obvious against the peat and heather, even at a distance (you can often pick out several from one spot - my record is 11).
