This imposing but simple non-conformist chapel dominating the high ground above Cwm Clydach was originally built in the early part of the C19 to serve a growing community that populated the common land roundabout, often by claiming squatters' rights. The chapel was rebuilt in 1915 and 1948 and remains in use today. On the front stucco facade a clockface reminds of the approaching judgement day! See SN0736 : The ticking clock...
