Engine house cottage, 5 Park Road, Moira
Engine house cottage, 5 Park Road, Moira
A famous listed building near Moira Furnace. Was a beam pumping engine house and an internal beam is dated 1805. Contained a Newcomen type engine pumping Furnace Pit. The GR in Palmer/Neaverson - Industrial Landscapes of the East Midlands is wrong. "Engine house cottage" Moira is a google-whack.
