Unusual hedge-bank
Unusual hedge-bank
The usual Pmbrokeshire field boundary is constructed by using a combination of stones, earth and turf, often with a hedge planted on top. This one is formed by closely packed vertical slates, giving the appearance of the leaves of a book. It runs along the top of a field where the underlying rock stratum is close to the surface but I could not determine whether it was natural or handmade.
