SH5660 : A flooded 'lefal'

taken 17 years ago, near to Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales

A flooded 'lefal'
A flooded 'lefal'
This 'lefal' was left 'high' but not 'dry' as the pit deepened. A new and longer tunnel was then constructed much further down the slope to reach the bottom of the pit. This 'lefal' ends in an abrupt and fatal drop.
