Bagworth Park
Bagworth Park
A grade II listed farmhouse near Thornton. The remains of the moat bank can be seen in the foreground. James Harrington bought the 2,000 acre Bagworth Park from Lord William Hasting's son in the 16th century. Lord Hastings commissioned the building of the Ashby and Kirby Muxlow Castles but was exceuted in 1483 for treason before Kirby Muxlow Castle could be completed.
The farm at Bagworth Park specialises in bulb growing.
