The No 2 pitch drum house
The building was constructed of what quarrymen call 'ragiau' (sing. 'rag') i.e. well shaped and easily handled pieces of slate rock. No mortar was used in the construction. Ragiau were used for the construction of buildings, cobs, walls etc.
