Worth Marshes
Worth Marshes
View across towards the Sandwich Bay Estate from the edge of the old Cottington spoil heap from Betteshanger colliery. The area is now a country park named Fowlmead. Worth marshes is not a name that appears on the OS maps, but it was used by Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory to describe the low-lying farmland between Worth, Sandwich Bay and Deal. In the distance, on the far left, is the former Richborough Power Station.
