The Ffridd Incline end of the Cook tramway
The Ffridd Incline end of the Cook tramway
The trackbed here runs along an embankment constructed at the base of one of Y Ddol Quarry's upper rubbish tips. The level area in the foreground, at the top of the Ffridd's No 2 pitch was the hub of the tramway network at this level, with tramways from Cook and Twll Coch and the short incline from Y Ddol converging to join the Ffridd Incline.
