Cliffs and a beach near Boddin Point, Angus
This beach is one of a number of similar pebble beaches which lies at the foot of steep cliffs to the south of Boddin Point. Agates are found in the rocks but are more easily found among the beach pebbles. Typically, here, the agates are blue-grey and white onyx though other varieties such as red fortification agates can also be found. These beaches are the type source for rarer, same coloured chalcedony including amethystine to wine coloured diackethyst, green coloured boddinite and yellow lunanite.
