SP3226 : Footpath towards Glyme Farm

taken 11 years ago, near to Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England

Footpath towards Glyme Farm
Footpath towards Glyme Farm
This is a popular route; we passed more people along here in 15 minutes than we had seen all day outside of the urban areas. This was less muddier than other places, perhaps that's why. Shakespeare's Way goes along here, and as this is the old route from Chipping Norton to the south-east the man himself may have come this way.
Three years on from Michael Dibb's concern SP3226 : Maintenance required little deterioration seems to have taken place to the building.
Shakespeare's Way

Shakespeare's Way is a 146 mile long distance footpath from Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon to the Globe theatre in London. It follows as nearly as possible a route that Shakespeare may have taken between the two, but using footpaths, quiet lanes and towpaths, rather than his tracks, which are today's main roads.
