Looking west towards the Dyfi estuary from Ynysfach
Looking west towards the Dyfi estuary from Ynysfach
View from the ridge on the north-west side of Ynysfach (Welsh = 'small island'), across the flat land on the south side of the Dyfi estuary. The railway line north from Aberystwyth to Machynlleth runs in the distance, just before the estuary sands, known as 'Traeth Maelgwyn'. The town of Aberdyfi is on the headland on the far side of the estuary.
