TQ3280 : George Inn

George Inn
George Inn
In 1849 my Grandfather's Grandmother was sold to this pub for 25 "Untill married".
So if you're in Borough High street about 600yd south of the river, look down the alley ways and yards until you find the George Inn, have a pint of George's ale, and as I did, wonder if Priscilla Puttick in the 1850s could have been in the same room.
Now owned by the National Trust, but open as a pub, a pint of George and Bangers and Mash! Made my day!
