SH5761 : The A4086 from the bomb store berm

taken 11 years ago, near to Llanberis, Gwynedd, Great Britain

The A4086 from the bomb store berm.
The A4086 from the bomb store berm.
The lowest pit of the Glynrhonwy system, once known as the Waterside pit because of its nearness to Llyn Padarn was a relatively shallow excavation. When the bomb store was constructed a berm of slate waste was built to separate it from the main A4086. This view is taken from the security fence on the berm down to the main road. Access to the store was by branch line beneath the road.
