The Bridge Washed Away
This image shows the Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve bridge after a high tide washed away all of the central section. The middle of the bridge had been washed away in the 1970s. It was repaired and lasted until February 1990. It was decided to build a new bridge a few feet from the where the original had crossed.
