Track to Garreg Lwyd
Track to Garreg Lwyd
This is the track coming away from the junction of tracks at SJ1756 : Near Garreg Lwyd and heading for Moel Gyw. The boundary stone, Gareg Lwyd, which can be translated as 'Grey Stone' can just be seen on the right of the track ahead. The stone is at a junction of tracks and boundaries, and is recorded also as 'Great Stone' on the 1879 O.S. map. The footpath from the concrete stile joins this track at Garreg Lwyd and I calculate, therefore, that the stone is just into the next square. The track directly ahead making its way up the shoulder of Moel Gyw is not recorded on the O.S. 'Old Maps', 25,000 or 50,000 scale editions, however it is now Open Access land so is not restricted.
