The Blue Bowl Inn
The Blue Bowl Inn
This country pub dates from the eighteenth century and its name refers to the local discovery of Roman coins and pottery (including fragments of a blue bowl). It lies on an old Roman road that runs to the right of shot - see ST5557 : Not dead straight. It also has a benchmark in the corner nearest - see ST5557 : Blue Bowl benchmark.
