Norbury Junction, Shropshire Union Canal
Norbury Junction, Shropshire Union Canal
This canal junction is where the Shrewsbury and Newport Canal met the main line of the Shropshire Union. It was taken in 1964, just about when the activity of canal boating for pleasure was starting to become really popular. But by then, the branch canal had closed, the end portion being in use as a dry dock.
