Harbour, West Wemyss
During the coalmining heyday of West Wemyss, the harbour was the departure point for the thousands of tonnes of coal hewn from the local pits. However, with the completion of Methil docks in 1887, West Wemyss declined in importance and the harbour was partially filled in with waste from the nearby collieries.
