SJ6047 : Impassable ford of the River Weaver

taken 11 years ago, near to Wrenbury Heath, Cheshire, Great Britain

Impassable ford of the River Weaver
Impassable ford of the River Weaver
Woodcotthill Road apparently once forded the River Weaver (left to right foreground) at this point; however, as the depth gauge (4 ft) reveals, the ford is impassable to vehicles. The road is still marked as a ford to the north but as a no-through road to the south. A footbridge (out of view on right; see SJ6047 : Footbridge over the River Weaver) allows people and bicycles to pass with dry feet
