Coat of Arms, Brown's Lodge
Coat of Arms, Brown's Lodge
The things looking like a cross between an octopus and an elephant are, heradically, elephants' heads erased (torn off). Those quarters are of the Pratt family, who took over the Bayham Abbey estate in 1714. The other quarters are of the Jeffreys family, who married into the Pratts later.
