Fountain, Pendley Manor
This fountain is in the centre of a little roundabout in front of the main entrance to Pendley Manor Hotel (see SP9411 : Pendley Manor Hotel, Tring - with Peacocks).
This was formerly the home of Dorian Williams the BBC equestrian commentator for such programmes as "Horse of the Year Show". The architect of this building is not known for sure, but there is a possibility that it was an early - and very impressive - example of William Huckvale's work, who was responsible for many of the fine buildings in and around Tring, especially those associated with the Rothschilds.
