The Corn Exchange, Worcester
The Corn Exchange, Worcester
Rivalry between those in favour and against the Corn Laws in the 19th century resulted in two Corn Markets in Worcester. The Corn Exchange was built in 1848 by the Protectionists. With farmers and buyers having two corn markets, neither prospered. The building is now an Italian restaurant.
