Y Felin, Brynrefail
Y Felin, Brynrefail
Y Felin consists of a short terrace of houses, two traditional cottages and a newish bungalow. Opposite the terrace, on a plot now used for rearing pigs, are the remains of a corn mill. It was this water powered mill which gave 'Felin' its name. 'Melin' - here mutated to 'Felin' by the presence of the definite article 'Y' (the) - means 'mill'.
