West Dean College
West Dean College
Built in 1804 for the Peachey family the then Lords of the Manor. The last, Edward James inherited the estate in 1934 before setting up a charitable trust for arts and crafts and converting the house into a college which opened in 1971. The college concentrates on conservation-restoration and visual applied arts which include tapestry and musical instrument making. This view is from the church yard of St Andrews.
