The Old Hall, Hambleton, Rutland Water
The Old Hall, Hambleton, Rutland Water
All that remains of Middle Hambleton are the 'Old Hall' and some dwellings on the lower slope. This splendid house (Jacobean: built in 1611, now situated just at the water's edge), stands on the only bit of dry land in this square, apart from the piece I was standing on which was only visible because of the low water level.
