Lake Tribulation
The Marine Lake 1934, at Clevedon, since its early days of people jumping into the sea refreshed waters, now filled with rubble and without the changing rooms, has been a source of Trial for Avon and Somerset and the District Councils, the River Authority, Water Authority having renewed the wave protection at right. This shows why the Lake is a structural difficulty and only patchwork has enabled continued slide at great cost to date. The waves run down, along the wall at left onto the beach embayment, generally scoured except at high levels of pebble and rock.
