SE0879 : Beldin Gill on Steel House Moor
3 km from Swineside, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Beldin Gill on Steel House Moor
This is one of several peaty gills that have to be crossed by anyone attempting to follow the bridleway shown on the OS map dropping down into Nidderdale. Though the top section is marked by two or three blue topped posts and is just about visible on the ground it soon gets lost among the heather. After that a good compass bearing or GPS is needed. Not recommended in poor weather.
